We have a new pet in the family. A friendly rodent by the name of Merlin. He is a dwarf hamster. Here he is in a picture taken with the H-team, a group of hamsters out to save the world from evil. Click on the picture to see Merlin in his purple couch.

I heard they were filming a sequel to Scooby Doo so I had to get in on the audition. The title of the movie is going to be, Great Caesar's Ghost. I will have to solve the mystery and save the haunted water park! What a challenge if I get the part! Here I am in a picture taken with the cast.

I just wanted to celebrate Elvis Presley. He would be 75 today. I never met him but my grandfather, Buddy the Tibetan Spaniel, performed with him in the song Jailhouse Rock. Though they cut his part out of the movie, I saved this picture to remember my beloved grandfather and Elvis.

Bill Evans from the channel 7 newsroom left early and asked me to fill in for tonight's weather reporter. Tonight calls for cold temperatures around 25 degrees. Snow starting to fall just before rush hour tomorrow morning. It could make the morning rush slippery. We should expect to see about 1 inche of snow before it tapers off about late morning. Temperatures should rise a high of 31 degrees. Dress warm and have your snow shoes ready just in case!

The day I met Spongebob was a very exciting day. We blew bubbles and we had lunch at the Krusty Krab restaurant. I see now why they say Mr. Krabs is so cheap. He charged me for a refill on my kelp soda. Here is a picture from that day. Spongebob had the picture put on the cover of Nickelodeon Magazine.

I always wanted to join the circus. I can remember when I met Bello Nock, the famous clown, from the Big Apple Circus. He asked me to join the circus animal act. I was a little nervous because I never jumped through a big hoop before. My opening night was very dramatic. I almost tripped on running my way to the big hoop. Luckily, I made it through the hoop and the audience roared with excitement! Here is a picture of the finale that day. Bello was so happy that he held me on his shoulder.

I read the news today about a boy that was saved from a cougar attack by a golden retriever. This made me think about what can I do to help our society combat crime. My friend Brian Griffin introduced me to some pretty successful people in fighting crime. They call themselves Law and Order. They asked me to join their team to help fight crime. Besides winning Times Magazine 's Dog of the Year Contest I have been on the cover of Wheaties Cereal. I am the first dog ever chosen to be on the cover. What a great honor! I hope this will open the door for other canines to be on the cover of cereal boxes.

Today I met a friendly poodle named Charles le Chien. He was known by his friends as simply, Charley. He told me about his travels with his owner (John Steinbeck) to 34 states in America inside a 3 ton pickup truck. I think I am going to pick up the book, Travels With Charley, as soon as I can get to the Borders Bookstore. Here is a picture of Charley, John Steinbeck, and me.

Later this evening I went to the Russian Tea Room in New York City. I had the Boeuf a la Stroganoff. The beef fillet was absolutely the best I have ever tasted. The Zakusi appetizer was just grand! The smoked meat was just out of this world. I havent had smoked meat since my puppy years. I had Steven take this picture of me to share with my readers. It is a breathtaking room. I must go back there again!

The chilling weather is taking a toll on my paws. Having a fur coat helps me face the cold weather, but during this cold spell I can sure use a cup of hot chocolate. This cold reminds me of the time I was challenged to face the frigid temperatures during the Iditarod. There I met a team of very tough dogs led by Musher. It it wasn't for Musher I would not have lived through the race. I will never forget the 1,000 mile trip we made. Here is a picture of me with Musher.

At Universal Studios I met my good friend Perry the platypus. Perry is a secret agent working under cover at Phineas and Ferb's house. Do not tell anyone about his secret assignment. The evil Heinz Doofensmirtz will capture Perry!

I joined Perry for a photo shoot for Person Magazine. Suddenly the publisher of Person Magazine recognized me from my cover picture on Times Magazine from last year. The publisher asked me to join in on the magazine cover photo shoot. I was so excited to be asked to join these famous Disney characters. Here is a picture taken from the photo shoot.

Today I watching my favorite T.V. sitcom Alf on http://www.hulu.com/. The episode entitled, Stayin' Alive touched me deeply. It reminds me how important it is to worry about the pollution on the planet Earth. We should make a conscious effort to keep preserve our waters and lands. My owner, Steven, makes a conscious effort to recycle and treat his lawn with only ground friendly products. As awful as it sounds he even recycles my waste products. Here is a picture of my friend Alf and I when I met him last summer. Alf looks the same because on his planet Melmac the aging process occurs rather slowly.

Just the other day I picked up my photos from CVS. One of the photographs I wanted to share with you was taken with the television actor Brian Griffin from the television sitcom, Family Guy. I have waited a long time to meet with Brian to discuss the character he plays on the program. I wanted to tell him that his character projects a bad role model for dogs in the United States.

Brian and I met for lunch at Jack's Steakhouse in NYC. He ordered the skirt steak and I just had a Shirley Temple. I must admit, Brian was very intelligent, polite, and respectful. He is the complete opposite of the character he plays on that awful show. During lunch Brian went on to tell me that he hoped for a movie deal very soon. He has a chance to play Hamlet on Broadway if his agent can work out the deal.

After lunch we went over to Central Park for a walk. This is where we took the snapshot together. I will always remember this day.

Just before the snow I met with Bo and the Obama family. We went out for a walk on the White House lawn and shared my feelings on the needs for dogs and cats to be adopted from animal shelters. Bo responded by saying, "yes I know every pet needs a warm loving family, but President Obama can not address this matter because 30 million Americans still do not have health care." Hopefully this issue will be addressed soon. After our walk we sat down to share some milk bones and some water. I gave Bo a water dish with his name inscribed on the outside. Bo was touched and said to me that he would try his best to convince President Obama of the needs of animal shelters. I will always remember this day. It was a day I felt proud to be a canine. It was a day for I felt I had spoken out and made my definitive contribution to canine society.

I would like to introduce myself before I post my blogs. So many people and canines asked me to start a blog page about my travels and impressions on the world around me. Since my exposure as, Dog of the Year in Time Magazine I thought I should start this blog page to reach all of my reading fans. So let me get started by telling you a little about me. I am a Tibetan Spaniel, though sometimes people call my breed Tibby's. I was rescued from an animal shelter by a loving girl and her family. They gave me a wonderful home and provided me with the love and attention I needed. Excuse me for the cliche, but it is "a dog's world" without a home. I wish they would have adoped all of the friends I met in the shelter, but I guess I should just consider myself just lucky. In my spare time I like to travel and read novels by Michael Critchon. Currently I am reading his last novel called Pirate Latitudes. I hope I finish it before Steven Speilberg makes the movie. Well before I go I wanted to share with you my cover for Time Magazine.
